17 weeks and time is flying!

3 more weeks, and we are to the halfway mark! Time has definitely flown by so far! Tomorrow (8/15) I will be 17 weeks! Baby is now a whole 5 inches! The past few days I have felt lots of movement and little kicks. It’s such an amazing feeling.  We have had a couple of big appointments so far and we got to see the baby! At the last ultrasound we had, baby was all over the place and moving like crazy! We even saw the little fingers and toes. So precious ❤️ The dads get to come with to all of these appointments and I love that they get to see how much their baby is growing and changing. The bigger thing though is that the baby is healthy and right one track!  The next few months will be crazy but I’m looking forward to it! In October, I get to meet their other surrogate and her husband in the beautiful NYC! The kids can’t wait to see the guys again, they love them! I can’t blame them though, they are pretty great 😉  Then in November, my daughter Alex is comp...

Good Things Come To Those That Wait.

Thousands of miles traveled. Many many injections. Multiple bottles of different medication and vitamins and hormones. Lots appointments and checkups and bloodwork. Peeing on sticks over and over and over. Dealing with the disappointment of only 1 line instead of 2. 3 failed transfers. Sadness, hearbreak, feeling like I failed. We persisted, though. We weren’t so ready to give up. I was ready to try again after the 3rd transfer failed. I’m so glad we did.  I am so very glad we did. A few days after the transfer, I just wasn’t feeling myself. I decided to take a test. I went and bought more and used one right away. A very faint pink line showed up almost immediately. I didn’t want to get my hopes up but they were up. False positives rarely happen. So I was optimistic. I did bloodwork 5 days after the transfer. My levels confirmed I was pregnant. They were still low, but it was only 4 days post transfer, so we were all cautiously optimistic. I continued the home pregn...

Here we go again!

Well, I figured it’s about time for yet another update! It’s been hard to post because im definitely one busy mama! Between work, dance, awanas, MOPs, preschool, and Alex’s pageant, I’m always on my toes! My two definitely keep me busy. It’s hard to believe I’ve been in this whole process for over a year. What a year it has been! I’ve traveled back and forth to DC over and over! It’s beautiful there, I’ve kind of fallen in love with it, honestly. I can’t wait to take both kids for a visit. Alex got to go with me last time, and it was a blast. She loved it. Next week, I head back to DC AGAIN! I think this is the 8th time already. Crazy to think! This is the fourth time going through all of this! Lots of vitamins, hormones, shots. Appointments and driving and flying. We all know I hate flying 😂 But you know what....I wouldn’t change it for the world! Sure, I’m exhausted and it comes with headaches and I’m starving basically 24/7, but I’m the end I’ll know I can say I gave it my ...

Third time’s the charm🍀

Hurry up and wait.  Hurry up and wait.  And then wait some more! I’ve been in this process for close to a year, it’s hard to believe that! Around this time last year was when I finally made the decision to do this, and started researching agencies. Since I first started this journey, it’s been a whole lot of hurry up and wait. You hurry to get paperwork done, then you have to wait, what seems a lifetime. Then you have to wait to be matched, which seems to take even longer! Then you hurry to get medical records and then you have to wait to be cleared, then you hurry to get the legal stuff together and signed, just to wait some more! But let me tell you something. All of this waiting is very much worth it. Nothing in life comes easy. If this has taught me anything so far, it’s patience, and a lot of it! I know the end result is going to be something incredible, and I cannot wait for that. 💜 I’ve been through lots of up and downs since the beginning. So far, w...

New Year, New Adventures!

Happy New Year! I can’t believe how fast 2017 went by. It was full of many exciting new things. I got to experience DC a few times, which was amazing. It is an incredible city filled with life and beauty; there is a plethora of things to see and do. I look forward to going back, in just a few short days! I can’t believe it’s almost time to go back again. I didn’t think everything would move as fast as it did! After finding out the last transfer didn’t work and the baby didn’t stick, I figured it would be a few months until we got to try it again. The team of people involved are wonderful, and are doing whatever they can to move things along as quickly and as smoothly as possible. I’m grateful 💜 I recently started all of the medications again! Who would’ve thought I’d be so happy to take medicine?! There are many different things I have to take, shots in my belly and soon to be my lower back, pills, vitamins...but oh my goodness is it worth it. I’m so thankful for the opportunity...
