Sticky!
I figured it’s about time for an update!
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind! I’ve been to DC twice in the past two weeks!!! It’s a beautiful city and I cannot wait to go back. Going there has made me want to move there, honestly. It’s so full of beauty and life, and it’s so fast paced and bright; it draws me in and completely captivates me.
I flew to DC last week on the 7th, and flew home the 9th. I flew back again on the 13th and came back the 15th. Talk about exhausting! Traveling takes a lot out of you, that’s for sure. Especially racing around airports when you don’t know the first thing about them, and making sure you don’t miss flights (I did anyways! It wasn’t my fault though!)
Note to Self: For Future Reference when I travel, especially with my children, I’ll allow us at least 2 hours between connecting flights. Clearly I need to educate myself more on airports. Or Maybe I’m just too slow. 😂🤷🏼♀️
The first time going to DC was just for a simple appointment to make sure I was responding to the medicine. Everything looks perfect and the doctor gave me the go ahead! I would go back the following week for the embryo transfer!!! I was THRILLED.
I just had the transfer Tuesday and everything went perfectly. It was an easy and smooth process. I wasn’t nervous at all. I was READY. Before the appointment you have to drink 4 bottles of water 2 hours before your appointment, and let me tell you IT IS HARDER THAN IT SOUNDS. Oh my goodness I had to pee like mad for over an hour and I thought my bladder was going to explode. It was pretty comical though. 😂
The IPs took me to my appointment, and on the way there they gifted me the most beautiful handmade journal with “Olivia’s Surrogacy Journal” engraved on the front. I had to hold back the tears, that is for sure. I’ve already started writing in it. It’s going to be so helpful with tracking everything and documenting this amazing journey. I feel so blessed, time and time again, that they chose me to do this.
I’ll find out soon if the baby sticks, so send lots of sticky baby vibes my way! I’m sure we are all ready to find out!
Thanks for following along 💜
